Hey! Alright, i'm back to blogging about my USS trip. I know that Taiwan part III isn't done. :( Soon. But i'll get be talking about my first trip to USS and how everything went. These photos are the ones in my cam.
Initially planned to visit USS before we left for Taiwan but apparently things cropped up so it was postponed to after Christmas. I know that's the worst date ever and yes, we chose it. So things didn't really go as we planned because it was so damn packed. Queuing became a chore.
Tickets were prices at $74! Super regretted not getting the express one. Definitely get the express on if you go on a really crowded day, even if it means having to pay around $50 more.
-----------------------------
Dad dropped sis and i at lakeside mrt, than we both trained downed to meet cousin at her place first. It was really early, like 830 am. So we slacked awhile, then left for habourfront.
Arrived around 10 plus. Shocked to see the crowd waiting to purchase their tix.
What's USS without taking picture with the globe.
I really love the atmosphere in theme parks. USS's ain't that bad. Felt like i entered another world or something. No joke.
First stop: TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle.
I have totally no idea why we even joined the Q despite it being so long, it was already out of the station itself. But i was really quick, because there were so many sections you have to pass before you reach the line that is close to the ride. Waited for 2 hours before it was our turn on the ride. Actually it was only estimated 40 mins, but there were apparently some technical glitch. HELL NO. So since we were already so close, we decided to stay on till the ride was working again.
The interior design was really really really good. Everything feels so real.
FINALLY WE SEE THE GLASSES.
After the torturous 2hours wait, we were out. Hmm, i loved the ride. It's probably one of my favourite but waiting that long, not worth it.
Second Stop: Accelerator.
Pretty much like the teapot ride that disneyland have. It just spins really quickly. Expected myself to be like really giddy at the end, but did not.
Proceeded to The Lost World, but the waiting time for all the rides were ridiculous. More than an hour for all the rides there, so we moved on to Far Far Away.
Far Far Away is my fav themed area there! It so magical and princess-ish. Heheh.
Third Stop: Enchanted Airways.
It's a junior roller coaster. I haven't been on a roller coaster for the longest time, so i was getting really nervous for the junior one. -_- But, it was fun. OH YES, as soon as we joined the queue, the announcement that the ride was experiencing technical problem came. Second time and we were already feeling so mad. By the time we sat the coaster, it was already close to lunch time. Entered at 1030 am, only managed to take three ride.
Fourth Stop: Ancient Egypt, Revenge of the Mummy
The place we got the most pissed and agitated. Ok, so we placed our bags in the locker provided since bags weren't allowed on the ride. The Q was so long and i really hated the atmosphere inside since i;ve always been afraid of the dark. It isn't pitch black while you queue but the lights inside were flickering non-stop to give a more creepy feel i believe. So we were so close to the ride after about an hour, they told us there's technical problem AGAIN, and everyone had to exit. Yes, exiting the ride after queuing for an hour.
!@#$%^&*(*&^%$@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Third technical problem, 2.30 pm, three rides. I'm am not going to pay $74 to queue and ride nothing so we called the hotline and complained. Typical singaporeans are us. Ok, not we complained but my mum helped us since she was more aggressive. And they actually told her there weren't any technical problems at all. WTF.

Fifth Stop: Canopy Flyer.
It's a ride that gives you the chance to have a bird's eye view over Jurassic Park. Sis and i sat at the back while cousins were infront. (it's a back to back ride). Never ever sit at the back because you can;t see the track at all, so you can only feel it when it comes. And i was worried my shoe would fly. -_- Queued 80 mins. I dont know what was wrong with us la. Wanted to head over the the Rapids Adventure but queuing time was 100 mins plus.
So while we were queuing for the canopy flyer, mum called us and gave us the best news ever. She helped us obtained four express passes each. WOOLAHHH. We just had to collect it from the customer center.
Sixth Stop: Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure.
Rented locker at jurassic park and used our express pass for the ride. Feels so damn good because people were queuing for the ride, we walked in straight to the ride and boarded the boat as soon as we entered. Ran around the whole park for other rides while our lockers were still available. Paid $4 for the locker at jurassic park and the time given was an hour, but we apparently took less than 30 mins for the boat ride and we rode it twice. The very nice guy at the ride gave us each another express tix for free. :)
Cousin got really dizzy after the ride. Ok, i wouldn't blame him because we took mummy, shrek roller coaster, rapids, shrek roller coaster, shrek roller coaster and rapids again, all in an hour. Bound to feel really giddy. But thankfully, i felt ok.
Oh we sat the mummy's indoor roller coaster ride eventually using the express pass. Less than 15 mins and we are done. I wouldn't say the mummy ride wasn't scary at all. For me, it's the darkness plus the steepness. -_- But i would ride it again if i were to return back to uss. :)
Seventh Stop: Shrek 4D Adventure.
While cousin rest outside the food stand, we rushed over to the 4D show.
Eight Stop: King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round.
We are kids at heart too. :)
Ninth Stop: Madagascar: A Crate Adventure.
managed to snapped some photos with my phone, but i'm lazy to post it here, so i'll just pass.
Then we had remaining express tickets, so we took the transformers again without having to queue for so long. And snapped pictures along the way.
The very nice mascot that saw us standing very long waiting for our turns because little kids were rushing towards it w/o queuing. So, he called us over even when the staff said photo-taking was over.
Left the place around 730 pm and the queue for the train back to sentosa station was crazy. Worst than attraction queues, so we walked back instead. A pity we didn't try the red and blue coaster, but i'll go on it the next time! headed to bugis for dinner at pasta mania and home. Fun day definitely. ^-^
