Back in Korea and (new) in Shanghai! Part 1

(PICTURE HEAVY POST)
I visited korea again last year! The last time we were day was back in 2011. This time round, we got to visit jeju island, a place i really wanted to go because drama always shoot it to be so gorgeous. Oh yes i was more than excited for this trip! Because we're all in different ploys/jc/sec, our holidays no longer match and therefore out trip to korea was on 20th dec( pretty late!!)

midnight flight so we have to be at the airport at 10!

Airport had this spongebob exhibition. so cute, they have a mini play area for the kids.

Never liked plane food. NEVER. the only thing great on that tray would be the bread and yogurt.

Finally arrived in Shanghai after five hours of flight.

xlb in shangahi. It's alright, i still prefer DTF's

But this sandwich got to be the best i've eaten. Speaking of which, i'm planning to make my own homemade grilled cheese sandwich!

Heck yeah, we arrived in korea at noon means it's lunch time! First meal of the day in korea. Steamboat, not too bad. I missed the seaweed there!!! also got more used to eating kimchi.

Greeted by such a wonderful sight.

 First stop: mysterious road.
I was quite fascinated by it. It's actually a hill. When looked from the bottom, it looks like it is steeping upwards. So cars can off their engine, but the vehicle still moves upwards. The bus driver did try!!!
But later, the guide told us it's actually steeping downwards. (i'm so bad at explaining. please just google for it)

Korea strawberries!!!!!! What's korea without them! Their strawberries are huge and juicy and expensive. lol

Second stop: Ice Sculpturing Museum.
first time visiting, it's fun to take pictures at. No selfies because it was so damn cold to remove our gloves and use the phone. I loved the ice slide! (will post a video once i have it in my laptop)

Third: Trick Eye Museum!
(my favourite place throughout the entire trip)
We were just crazily lying on the floor and running around, trying to snap as many pictures as we can. Obviously because we were given so little time. But still, it's really fun to play with the wall art and having people stare at us like we were part of the picture.

Dinner that day was alright. I like the steam egg! No one touched the saba fish (what a waste)

First hotel as well. I wasn't expecting much from the hotels. But no no, the hotels were fantastic.

Day 2 in Jeju.

The place is such a beauty, i wanna visit jeju in another season. Look at how beautiful the morning is.

 First stop: tangerine garden.
They don't call them oranges. We were given permission to pluck them of the trees. and yes, we might have overdid it a little.

Second: (no idea where) but it's one of the 7 wonders of the world!

aw heck yeah, one of the best lunch! bbq pork can never go wrong.

Highly anticipated tedy bear museum was the third stop. Nothing really wow about the museum. I wasn't particularly amazed. But worth the visit because bears are cute.

My favourite bear in the entire museum. It's a 125 carat bear! Look at the gold fur in the bear. Oh they also have the swarovski bear!!

fourth: (not kidding when i say idk where the place is) NO CLUE

So windy and cold. Beautiful scenery nonetheless.

Have i ever mentioned that i'm so glad to have a taller cousin? :)

So thankful i managed to find the waffles again!! Hands down the best waffles ever, someone needs the open a shop here in singapore! The waffle fillings are whipped cream and jam. Urgh so good i cannot explain further. (i had them three times!!)

Jeju seafood dinner. Supposingly one the best dinner in the package. But we don't touch shell animals like calms and mussels and oysters so we ended up emptying the pot by giving them all to the tourguides. what a waste, i know.

oh yes, the tour guide treated the tour group to soju. The picture was just for show, i took a sip and nope, i don't like it. Actually i don't like beer in general.

doing what we do best, lazing in the lobby for wifi.

Day 3, off to Seoul!
Woke up really early that morning because we had a flight to catch to seoul.

Flight duration about an hour? Arrived in seoul and weather was already negative. We had to wait for the tour bus in the cold for more than an hour!!! (bad service)

We obviously got ourselves hot coffee to warm up. There is something about their coffee that taste 100 times better. idk. We got bread from their bakery as well.

bbq pork again. not too bad.

First stop: Nami Island (i love that place i want to stay there forever)
We had to take a ship to the island.

Someone please tell me the place is beautiful. i honestly can't believe the scenery there. We were all running around trying to snap as many pictures as we could. weather close to -10 btw.

Isnt the place gorgeous?! i want to go back there again!!!!
yay. dinner.

sis and i had to split levels with parents because the rooms allocation went haywire. i was really mad that night, let's not talk about it. The room was so japanese. i love!!

best maggi ever?!?!?!???

what's korea without their banana milk!

Day 4, 5 and 6 up another day, see you!!! and yes thankyou for reading!
